Last year Arvesta, formerly known as AVEVE, started the practical execution of a brand new ambitious strategy, having the objective to become a strong group instead of a collection of individual companies. We are proud we could support AVEVE in the deployment of the financial shared service centre in Leuven and this in different roles and domains.
On A/P side we managed the implementation of the new scan & capture solution for the different business domains. An extra complexity was the need for integration with different ERP systems within 1 legal entity and the SAP migration roadmap that was running in parallel. We also supported the supplier onboarding process and in the role of supervisor we were able to drive value by increasing operational efficiency.
Typically for the retail and agriculture domains of Arvesta are the EDI processes. An OptiMinds consultant guaranteed the functioning of the end-to-end EDI processes and intermediated with suppliers, customers and the EDI service provider.
Arvesta is an expert in agriculture and horticulture, animal nutrition, flour, machines and garden centres, making them the biggest full-service partner for farmers and growers in Belgium. They also have strong ambitions to expand internationally, and are already active on the Dutch, French and German market today. As the home of dozens of strong brands and with 1,900 enthusiastic employees — each of which is an expert in their field — Arvesta can make a genuine difference for all elements in the agricultural supply chain. They want to grow together with farmers and growers and enable them to maximize their profitability. To achieve that goal, Arvesta is continually investing and innovating in the agricultural sector.
